when left handed mode is enabled and you're holding an item in your offhand, the media display is partially blocked by the item:

depending on the item it can make it a little hard on the eyes. potential solutions include moving the display further to the right (possibly only while an item is held in the offhand to avoid a gap), or to swap it to the left side, though that might require dynamically moving the display depending on how many digits are shown.
